Cover letter

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

I am currently a fourth year student at the University of Lyon, in the "Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances", where I study actuarial science and Finance. I would like to be considered for a 3 months internship in the pensions sector, in Reinsurance or in Life insurance

Thanks to a partnership between my university and the University of Rabat, I am currently studying in Morocco. It is very interessant to study actuarial science in Morocco, where the insurance is still an emerging market.

My master degree has not only strengthened my grasp in statistical modelisation, but grew my financial and economical knowledge.
My studies have given me the opportunity to experience multiple internships. In addition to this, I have had significant experience in numerous software packages, most notably VBA.
During my last internship, in the research department of the University of Bordeaux, I studied the correlation between Twitter and pharmaceutical companies’ stock-exchange valuation, right after the US Drug Administration announcement. It helped me improve my technical skills, particularly my econometrics knowledge.

Recently, I did an internship in the OECD office in Paris, where I programmed a web application, from the Classic ASP, to ASP.NET. Furthermore, while working on this internship, I was a key member in an international team of people, for whom the only common language was English, greatly helping me practise my English skills in a professional environment, in addition to bolstering my ability to operate efficiently in a team as well. Moreover, working in an organization, which contributes to economic development was very motivating for me.
I feel my experience from my former placements, my degree, and my numerous other internships leave me well prepared to take on the challenges of an internship abroad.
Thank-you for taking the time to read this.

Yours faithfully,

CV
